Our new Main Block rebuild is complete and wow what a space!  At the Heart of Marsden, the foyer of Te Manawa o Te Kura is beautiful and a very special gathering place for students, parents and friends. While we have moved in and are using all aspects of these superb new facilities, we are still looking for your support to further enhance what we offer to our students.

Pave the Future

With the staircase and Honours Board providing a strong link to the past, the foyer is an inspiring space. The new heart of our school. For just $500, you can buy a tile for the foyer floor and pave the way for the generations of wonderful young women who will cross this threshold.  Give Marsden girls a little of your own heart.

The road to Te Manawa o Te Kura

The decision to replace the Main Block at Marsden Karori came from our responsibility to provide a safe environment for our students and staff. What it created, however, was the opportunity to build a light-filled modern learning environment.

The new building cleverly connects the library, auditorium and music centre to the southern end of the school.
It creates a best-practice learning environment, making possible new, more collaborative ways of working and easier access to resources. There are spaces for different activities: reading, group work, project space and reflection. An 'i-Centre' - a fusion of library and technology - supporting access to information and enabling connection and collaboration.

An inspiring foyer atrium space - the 'heart' - showcasing the past and evoking pride in the school. The Honours Board is restored to pride of place in the foyer. The Grand Staircase leads to the auditorium, past the Honours Board. The original (1926) front entrance connects past and future.
