We will be putting the lost property table at the bottom of the stairs by Sheppard/Wake from Monday 20 November.

There are always a varied selection of lost property items from drink bottles and lunch boxes to uniform, shoes and sporting equipment.  We also have some items of jewellery, glasses, headphones etc that will not be put on the lost property table, but can be viewed by coming to Reception.
Items not claimed by the end of term will be redistributed.

Advent Tree and Calendar
Chaplain Sarah King has some Advent activities available:
The Advent tree is assembled and each day in December decorations are put on the tree, part of the Christmas story is read, there is a mystery map of Bethlehem to navigate, and then a question to discuss. It is a fun and interactive way of remembering the Christmas story in the lead up to Christmas Day. The pack is $5. To order yours, contact Sarah at sarah.king@marsden.school.nz

Advent Calendars with a New Zealand theme are also available. No chocolate, no Bob the Builder or Barbie on the front - a beautiful New Zealand nativity scene with windows to open which tell the Christmas story. There are also $5 and you can order yours by contacting Sarah at sarah.king@marsden.school.nz

The Big Little Bible
The Bible Society has published this excellent bible which is highly recommended by our Chaplain Sarah King. Aimed at helping parents and grandparents share the Bible with 8-10 year olds, The Big Little Bible is designed as a stepping stone for children making the transition from traditional Bible storybooks to a full Bible. It includes 30 Bible stories. The stories feature beautiful illustrations created by Wellington artist Meesh Holswich and discussion questions to help kids and parents think about the Bible together. It is $19.99. For more information on how to order this bible, contact Sarah on sarah.king@marsden.school.nz
