Summer Hockey Years 6/7/8
Wellington Hockey run a Summer Hockey Programme in 2 blocks, one in Term 4 and one in Term 1. The competitions have set game locations and times, so you sign up for NHS in Newtown on Wednesdays at 6pm for example. Final days and times depend on Wellington Hockey. Players can sign up in a team or as individuals. You only need to sign up for one block (so you don't need to commit now for next year). A few of the girls in the Marsden Year 7/8 team are keen and are hoping to get enough other players to make a team. Please contact bridget@morefamily.co.nz

Karori Road Safety
We are currently investigating the idea of having an adult to supervise our Karori Road crossing in the mornings from 8.15 am to 8.45pm,  and then after school from 3.15 to 3.45pm. We would need approximately 10 parents from Years 1 - 8 to set up a roster, and ensure the safe crossing  of our children each day. If you are able to assist with this, please contact Rebecca at rebecca.george@marsden.school.nz

Grandparents and Special Friends Day
Our annual Grandparents Day is on Thursday 28 September. The day begins with a church service at 9am then morning tea at school at 10am and a concert at 11am followed by lunch at 12pm. Mark the date in your calendars!

Recycle your old smartphones by donating them to us!
The Marsden MakerSpace is looking for old smart phones (android or apple) that can be used for app development etc. If you could ensure they are wiped, unlocked and have a charger, it would be much appreciated.
