Snapper Cards

A Snapper card is great for students travelling on public transport.

Snapper Green CardSnapper Green is for all children at primary, intermediate and some secondary school years (up to 16 years). It already has a travel concession applied which entitles them to child fare discounts on public transport.

Snapper card

Secondary school students (16 years and over) should use a Snapper Red. It comes pre-programmed to charge an adult fare. However, a travel concession can be applied to the Snapper Red which entitles secondary school students to the same child fare concession as a Snapper Green.

It is a good idea to register your Snapper online by creating a Snapper account so you can view your transaction summary and type of concession.

Note: Users must remember to tag on entering the bus AND tag off when leaving the bus to avoid penalty charges.
