What the future holds for our 2015 Leavers

It's always a fascinating moment when Jenny Williams reads out the final roll call of our Year 13 students at Prizegiving to hear what they are going on to do 'after Marsden'. This year we had a large number of girls awarded scholarships (noted in red). Here's what our 2015 leavers are planning to do:

ROLL CALL, 2015

Kate Alderton

Is going to the University of New South Wales to study towards a Bachelor of Design and a Bachelor of Media in Public Relations and Advertising

Isabella Antoniadis

Is heading to the University of Auckland to work towards a BA and BComm majoring in marketing and psychology

Phoebe Baigent

Is going to the University of Auckland to begin an LLB and a BA majoring in Linguistics

Kirstin Baker

Kirstin will be going to Massey Palmerston North to study for a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition.

Isabella Barbalich

Isabella is going to Canterbury University to work towards a Bachelor of Engineering. She has been awarded the University of Canterbury Engineering high achievers Awardand the Victoria University Excellence Scholarship

Ellie Beverley

Ellie is taking a GAP year to do volunteering in Zimbabwe and South Africa before returning to New Zealand in 2017 to start her studies toward a Vet Science degree

Olivia Bloomfield

Olivia is going to Canterbury University to study towards a Bachelor of Engineering specializing in Civil Engineering She has been awarded the Canterbury University Emerging Leaders Scholarship, the Helen McMillan Brown Bursary and the University of Canterbury Engineering Top Scholars Award

Georgia Brown

Georgia is going to work towards a Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies at Victoria University

Mary Buchanan

Mary will be studying Psychology and Philosophy in a BA at the University of Otago. Mary has been awarded a New Frontiers Scholarship from the University of Otago.

Charlotte Burger

Charlotte is completing a GAP year as a tutor at Clayesmore Prep School in Dorset.

Georgia Burns

Georgia will be studying at the University of Auckland towards a BA majoring in media, film and television, and a BCom majoring in marketing

Maggie Burns

Maggie is heading to Otago University to study Law and a BA in Economics. Maggie has been awarded a Leaders of Tomorrow Scholarship from the University of Otago.

Emily Callam

Emily is to be at Victoria University next year studying Law and BA majoring in Film and International Relations. She has been awarded a Victoria University Excellence Scholarship and a University of Auckland Law entry level award.

Charlotte Campbell

Charlotte will be working towards a BA majoring in Chinese and Linguistics at Victoria University.

Emma Carruthers

Emma is going to the University of Auckland to study towards a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical science

Srimoyee Chakravorty

Srimoyee is going to the University of Auckland to work towards a Bachelor of Science majoring in Psychology and Computer ScienceShe has been awarded the University of Sydney Scholarship, the Australian National University (Canberra) Scholarship, the University of Auckland Scholarship and the Victoria University Vice Chancellor's Excellence Scholarship

Lucy Chandler

Lucy is heading to the University of Otago to complete the Health Sciences first year.

Hannah Comans

Hannah will be starting her studies towards a Bachelor of Commercial Music at Massey Wellington

Sarah Deng

Sarah will be going to the University of Auckland to do a conjoint BA/BComm. Her majors will be Korean in her BA and International Business in her BComm.

Nicole Ding

Nicole is planning to study Accounting and Marketing Management in a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Otago

Shenna Dunn

Shenna is taking a GAP year. She is auditioning to work at Disney in North America and in 2017 will go to Massey University to work towards a Vet Science degree.

Harriette Dunphy

Harriette plans to go to the University of Otago to complete the Health Sciences first year. Harriette has been awarded the University of Auckland Scholarship and a Leaders of Tomorrow Scholarship from the University of Otago

Yu Hong Fan

Yu Hong is going to the University of Otago to work towards a Bachelor of Science majoring in Mathematics and Physics. She has been awarded the University of Otago Academic Excellence Scholarship, the University of Canterbury - Helen MacMillan bursary and the School of Engineering high achiever's award

Emma Fulbrook

Emma will be at Victoria University next year studying towards a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies and Ecology and Biodiversity

Gaenor Gibbs-Harris

Gaenor is going to either The Australian National University in Canberra or the National University of Singapore to study towards a BA in Geography.

Georgina Glover

Georgina is going to Massey Wellington to study towards a Bachelor of Nursing

Isabel Grubi

Isabel will be studying for a BA in Political Science and International Relations at Victoria University

Grace Habershon

Grace will be doing voluntary work through Projects Abroad and then heading to Victoria University

Madeline Hayward

Madeline is going to the University of Otago to study for a BA in English and Psychology. She has been awarded a Leaders of Tomorrow Scholarship from the University of Otago

Beatrice Hooper

Beatrice will be working towards an LLB and a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Maori Studies at Victoria University.

Eva Johnson

Eva is going to study towards a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Psychology at Victoria University.

Samantha Jordan

Samantha is going to the University of Canterbury to work towards a BA in History and Anthropology.

Emma Kerr

Emma is going to Auckland University to begin a double degree in Law and Commerce. Emma has been awarded the University of Otago Excellence Scholarship, the Victoria University Vice Chancellor's Excellence Scholarship, the University of Auckland Scholarship, the University of Auckland Faculty of Law Entry-Level Scholarship and the Russell McVeagh Scholarship.

Danielle Lath

Danielle is having a GAP year in the USA and Spain. In 2017 she plans to study architecture at Monash University in Melbourne.

Emily Lyons

Emily is heading to the University of Auckland to work towards an LLB and a BA majoring in Chinese. She was awarded the Victoria University Excellence Scholarship

Ella Macaskill

Ella is going to Victoria University to study towards a BA with a double major in Education and Psychology. Ella has been awarded the Victoria University Excellence Scholarship

Alexandra Mair

Alexandra will be at Otago University studying a BCom in Economics and Chinese with a minor in International Business. Alexandra has been awarded the University of Otago Performance Scholarship

Florence Marshall

Florence is going to Canterbury University to study towards a Bachelor of Engineering. Florence has been awarded a University of Canterbury undergraduate entrance scholarship.

Holly Miller

Holly will be working towards a BA in Politics and an LLB at Victoria University

Louise Nisbet

Next year Louise will be completing a GAP year at Swanbourne House School in England. She will return to New Zealand to start her degree at the University of Auckland in 2017

Penny O’Brien

Penny will be heading to Dunedin to study for an LLB and a BA majoring in communications at the University of Otago. She has been awarded a New Frontiers Scholarship from the University of Otago.

Bethany O’Grady

Bethany is planning to take a gap year to do mission work (eitherin Cambodia or Nepal) teaching English and bible studies at a Bible education centre. In 2017 she will resume her studies - in design.

Emma O’Keefe

Emma will be going to the University of Auckland to complete first year health sciences.

Eleanor Olson

Eleanor is heading to the University of Auckland to study Anthropology and Psychology in a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Arts.

Gabrielle Palado

Gabrielle is going to Victoria University to study towards a Bachelor of Engineering majoring in Software Engineering. She has been awarded a Victoria University Excellence Scholarship

Celeste Pan

Celeste, who cannot be with us tonight, is planning to study Linguistics and German. She has had offers from University College in London, Durham University and St Andrews University. She is not here tonight because she is in Sydney attending an interview for entrance to Cambridge University. Update: Celeste has been offered a place at Cambridge University

Olivia Pearless

Olivia will complete a GAP year at Abbots Bromley School in England and will return to the University of Auckland in 2017 to study Health Sciences.

Kiera Quinn

Kiera is going to Otago or Victoria to study towards an LLB and a BA majoring in Political Studies

Madeleine Reynolds

Madeleine is heading to the University of Auckland to study towards a BCom majoring in commercial law and management.

Lucy Robertson

Lucy will be going to Otago University to study towards a BA in Geography

Lavanya Sajwan

Lavanya is going to Victoria University to study towards a Bachelor of Engineering majoring in Software Engineering.

Gemma Sangalli

Is going to work for six months and then head overseas to study towards a BA Hons in fashion design.

Jasmine Seidelin

Jasmine is going to Kings School in Kent for her GAP year and then returning in 2017 to complete the Health Sciences year at Otago University.

Olivia Singleton

Olivia is going to Victoria University to work towards a Bachelor of Music majoring in Music Studies and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Film.

Sarsha Sivanantham

Sarsha is going to the University of Auckland to study towards a Bachelor of Health Science and a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Management. Sarsha has been awarded a Victoria University Excellence Scholarship

Madeleine Skinner Evers

Madeleine is taking a GAP year before going on to study at university.

Elizabeth Summers

Elizabeth is going to Victoria University to begin her Bachelor of Music in composition

Monica Summers

Monica is going to Victoria University to study towards a Bachelor of Science majoring in Chemistry and Cell and Molecular Bioscience

Nicola Tock

Nicola will be studying towards a Bachelor of Surveying at Otago University

Ruth Trow

Ruth is heading to the University of Auckland to study towards a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics

Caitlin Veneer

Is taking a GAP year organized by Latitude. She is going to a school for the visually impaired in Poland and then doing community service in the UK. On her return she will be starting a BA majoring on Psychology and Theatre

Hannah Ward

Hannah (who is unable to be with us tonight) is going to Victoria University to study towards an LLB and a BA majoring in Development Studies. Hannah has been awarded the Wellington Region Zonta Young Women in Public Affairs scholarship

Shwetha Wevita

Shwetha is heading to the University of Auckland to study towards a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences.

Madeline Whyte

Madeline is going to Victoria University to study towards an LLB and a BA in International Relations. Madeline has been awarded a Victoria University Excellence Scholarship

Rachel Witkowski

Rachel is completing a GAP year at an outdoor activities Centre in Canada and returning in 2017 to start her Bachelor of Design at Massey Wellington

Emily Wood

Is going to Otago University to do first year Health Sciences She has been awarded a Leaders of Tomorrow Scholarship

Bridget Young

Bridget will be studying towards a Bachelor of Engineering at Auckland University.
